Hedvig Mollestad

Kjetil Bjerkestrand is one of Norway's most renowned keyboard players, also known as a composer, arranger, and record producer. He is an experienced and respected musician who has worked with prominent figures such as Ray Charles, Sissel Kyrkjebø, A-ha, and Arve Tellefsen, to name a few.

 

Now, he is part of an exciting duo with the brilliant guitarist Hedvig Mollestad, who can confidently be called one of the country’s finest on her instrument. Mollestad is a trained jazz guitarist from the Norwegian Academy of Music, with a strong international reputation and two Spellemann Awards in the open category. In 2023, she was the "Artist in Residence" at the Molde Jazz Festival.

 

The audience is invited to an exciting encounter with a powerful jazz-rock guitarist, who, together with a unique master of creating grand and rugged, yet tender and lyrical synth landscapes, always complemented by beautiful piano or grand piano tones, promises a memorable experience.
