Anastasiya Bazhenova is a concert pianist with a deeply personal artistic voice, an intense stage presence, and a refined sense of sound.
Her artistry unfolds in the space between control and dissolution, silence and explosion — with a striking sense of contrast, inner drama, and musical storytelling.
Born in Voronezh, Russia, she received her early musical education through the talent programme at the Central Music College in Voronezh, a leading institution for exceptionally gifted young musicians.
She continued her studies at the Voronezh Academy of Arts with Professor Arkady Dubovik, before moving to Norway, where she completed her master’s degree at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo under Professor Jens Harald Bratlie.
Bazhenova performs as a soloist and chamber musician throughout Europe and North America. She has appeared at venues and festivals including Carnegie Hall in New York, Ehrbar Saal in Vienna, and the Palermo Classica Festival, and has collaborated with international orchestras.
Early in her career, she received several international awards, with juries particularly highlighting the personal and emotional quality of her interpretations.
Her debut album, From Mendelssohn to Madness, released on Etcetera Records on 1 April 2026, has already attracted international attention and reviews in leading classical music media, including Gramophone.
The album has also been featured on radio stations such as France Musique / Radio France, BRF1, and ORF Ö1, and was selected as Album of the Week by Opus 100,7 in Luxembourg.
